Paranormal Investigation to Take Place at Live Theatre on Halloween Night

The North East’s leading paranormal investigators, GhostNE, will host a first ever ghost hunt at the historic Newcastle Quayside venue on Halloween Night, Thursday 31 October. From 9.15pm until 1am a limited group of up to 25 people will explore the venue’s oldest and spookiest sites in search of evidence of paranormal activity or presence.

The ghost hunt will take place for one night only during the run of Live Theatre’s highly anticipated cult horror play Saint Maud, which runs from Thursday 10 October to Saturday 2 November 2024.

Live Theatre’s Artistic Director Jack McNamara said: “Live Theatre is clearly haunted. We all know it. And I don’t just mean by great past performances. Just try having a glass of wine in our Undercroft by the bar and watch the keys of our piano move of their own accord. Or feel the distinct burn of watching eyes as you navigate through the dark towards the balcony toilets.  I am thrilled that GhostNE will be coming to confirm these suspicions and also send a signal to our resident ghosts that they are as welcome at Live Theatre, as any of our living guests.”

Based on the film written and directed by Rose Glass and adapted for Live Theatre’s stage by acclaimed writer Jessica Andrews, Saint Maud tells the story of a young devout nurse who becomes obsessed with saving the soul of her patient.

Participants will have the opportunity to use scientific equipment, cameras, video and psychic tools to try to gather evidence of the afterlife alongside a teamleader from GhostNE.

Don’t miss this rare chance to explore behind the scenes and investigate alongside experts and fellow paranormal enthusiasts, on the spookiest night of the year. With only 25 tickets available, priced at £25 per person, early booking is strongly advised at www.live.org.uk
