Double your donation to North East Theatre Trust (aka Live Theatre) in the Big Give Arts For Impact Campaign.

North East Theatre Trust are taking part in the Big Give Campaign to raise £4000 in just one week! The funds raised will be used for Live Theatre’s Children and Young People’s Programme.

The Children and Young People’s Programme (CYP) delivers free Live Tales, creative writing workshops for all schools across the North East region, sparking the imaginations of children and celebrating their ideas. Live Theatre also offers 180 young people the opportunity to make new friends and realise their potential through drama at the region’s largest free Youth Theatre.

With decades of experience in delivering Live Tales and Youth Theatre, CYP supports the health and well-being of children and young people, helping them to develop self-confidence, skills and creativity and expand their horizons.

Every young person and child is valued and given the chance to flourish. Live Tales ensures all children are given the opportunity to shine and have their words selected for inclusion in the class story. Every member of Live Youth Theatre has the chance to perform their own devised work on Live Theatre’s main stage in front of family, carers and peers, improving their self-esteem.

Donations to Live Theatre’s Children and Young People’s Programme will be generously matched by Big Give’s Champions during the campaign to make double the difference in supporting the children from Live Tales and young people from Youth Theatre.

Alison Nicholson, Fundraising and Development Manager at Live Theatre said: “This is the first time we have taken part in the Big Give and are super excited to be raising funds for our valuable work with Children and Young People. We’re aiming to raise £2000 and are hoping that everyone will give generously to help us reach our target. Reaching this goal will then enable us to access the £2000 we have in the matching pot and allow us to carry on delivering activity that makes a real difference to the lives of the young people participating in our programmes.”
