Me Lost Me Album Launch
Join us for a special gig celebrating the launch of This Material Moment, the latest album by Me Lost Me, released June 2025 on Upset The Rhythm. The Project of Newcastle-based artist Jayne Dent who takes influence from folk, art pop, noise, ambient and improvised music, her work has been described in The Guardian as "stripping folk back to its bones while letting its future echoes bleed out". This Material Moment explores the very human urge to discover, to understand, to piece together fragments of stories and make impossible order out of chaos, capturing the fuzziness of experience and emotional intensity in all directions.
This performance will include new immersive live visuals and the full band as featured on the record: Faye MacCalman on clarinet, John Pope on double/electric bass, Ewan Mackenzie on drums with additional vocals by Sam Baxter, Janice Burns and Holly Clarke.
Support comes from Burd Ellen (Debbie Armour and Gayle Brogan), who use traditional songs to explore and evoke dark landscapes and deep stories, creating a unique sonic atmosphere through innovative instrumentation, drone and detailed vocal work.
