Mam, Me, Mia

Rehearsed reading performed by CHESS TOMLINSON, JESS JOHNSON, and LUCY EVE MANN.

When widowed MAM, her heart-broken messy millennial daughter ME, and gen z baby of the family, leather-clad MIA start dating at the same time, Newcastle and the surrounding ‘catchment area’ suddenly becomes extremely small.

It's been ten years since MAM lost her husband and ME and MIA lost their DAD. Living together for the first time in a decade, they’re determined to ignore the historic grievances shoved under the lumpy-arse carpet and go speed dating instead.

Through the lens of three generations Mam, Me and Mia navigate romantic connections, sexual revolutions and the closest bond two humans can have - mother daughter relationships. But in order to grow they must let go. And it’s not long until their past catches up - and there’s no more room to shove owt under that carpet anymore.
