UNEARTHED FESTIVAL 2026 SCRATCH NIGHT CALL OUT

North East theatre artists, creators, and writers... do you have something you’re working on that you’d like to try out in front of a Live Theatre audience?

Unearthed Festival Scratch Night is a chance to take risks, have fun and test out bold new ideas with fellow creatives in front of a Live Theatre audience hungry for exciting new work.

We’re looking for artists and makers with new work that sparks curiosity, pushes boundaries, or doesn’t fit neatly into a box. We’re not just looking for new writing, we are excited to hear from artists working in devised performance, dance, experimental theatre, comedy, or a mix of all of this!

Artists will have a slot of up to 10 minutes to share their work, with each artist will receiving a fee of £150.

The Scratch Nights will be scheduled within the Unearthed Festival taking place from Thu 2 - Sat 11 Jul 2026.

Take to our stage and share your burning idea, your joyful risk, your work-in-progress experiment, or your theatrical wild card. We can’t wait to see what you’re making!
