Unaccompanied Sanctuary Seeking Children’s Project 

Live Theatre has been working with the YMCA to deliver creative sessions and provide a safe, welcoming space for unaccompanied sanctuary seeking children. 

This summer participants co-created ‘The Great Paper Plane Challenge’ for Refugee Week, a free event featuring creative activities, traditional Ethiopian food and a huge paper plane competition. 

This work will continue as Live Theatre develops and grows its sanctuary offer, creating more opportunities for people seeking safety, connection and a sense of belonging.
