One of the most important contemporary theatre artists arrives in Newcastle.

Following on from the global success of her play Salt, theatre artist Selina Thompson will begin writing her new work which explores adoption and the impact of governmental intervention into the family tree on our societal relationships with class, race, trauma and our bodies.

Selina’s stunning installation Race Cards will transform our studio into a space containing 1000 cards hand written by Selina, each containing a question about race. Audiences are invited to   respond, contribute and take a question away. This is first time that this urgent work will have been seen in the North East.
