A 65th anniversary reading of Harold Pinter's masterpiece

The Dumb Waiter

Read by very special guests Jimmy Nail + Chris Connel

Largely considered the greatest British playwright of the last hundred years, Pinter's playwrighting legacy has changed the face of theatre, film and television ever since. We are honoured to have been granted special permission by Pinter's estate to stage a very rare reading of his early masterpiece, the pitch black comedy The Dumb Waiter

Ben and Gus are two hitmen waiting in a murky room, taunted by the absurd arrival of food orders.

In true Live style this absurdist masterpiece will be read onstage by an iconic figure and great friend of Live Theatre, the one and only Jimmy Nail with special guest Chris Connel.

Come and experience some of the world's best playwrighting in an intimate setting.

All proceeds from this event will go towards our work commissioning and developing North East playwrights.

If SOLD OUT- contact Box Office on 0191 2321232 to be added to the waiting list.
