We are thrilled to team up with Amber Films to mark the publication of Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen’s stunning photographic project capturing vibrant beach life in the North East of England. 

The event will begin with a 45-minute film screening of the lyrical The Writing In The Sand (1991 Amber Films) by Peter Roberts and Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen, evoking the magic of an urban family’s day out with Konttinen’s black and white photographs and a remarkable soundtrack. This will be followed by an onstage Q and A with the acclaimed photographer and collaborators and a book signing of this very special publication.
