Their history with Live Theatre dates back to our very origins. Now facing unprecedented financial challenges Side Gallery urgently needs your support to deter the possibility of permanent closure. Live Theatre invites you to please come and support this crucial organisation to continue doing its unique work for our region.
We are thrilled to be able to welcome one of the world’s great photographers, Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen, a founding member of Amber Film and Photography Collective and Side Gallery, to be in conversation on our stage following a screening of the 40 minute film STILL HERE. This stunning film brings back to life the stories of people photographed by Sirkka in the North East in the 1970’s and 1980s.
All proceeds for this event will go to Side Gallery’s fundraising campaign to enable this magnificent organisation to open its doors once again to the public. #SaveSide
