Live Theatre offers a series of beautiful spaces, ideal for your wedding breakfast and reception. With award-winning food available from Terry Laybourne’s 21 Hospitality Group (or a caterer of your choice), this makes the perfect unique venue for your special day.
Live Theatre is not licensed for wedding ceremonies.

A large, flexible space suitable for a formal dinner or music and dancing.

Live Theatre's Bar and Undercroft
A light, contemporary, informal environment suitable for your drinks reception and drinks during your event.

Situated on the ground floor, the Main Theatre, Atrium Bar, Undercroft, toilets and lift to floors 1-3 are all fully accessible while the stairs, situated in a glass tower, offer dramatic rooftop views of the iconic Tyne Bridge and the Quayside.

A large, flexible space suitable for a drinks reception, a buffet, formal dining, or music and dancing.

Rehearsal Room
A large room suitable for a drinks reception, a buffet or formal dining alongside your event in the Studio, or music and dancing.

Writers' (Gillian Dickinson) Room
An ideal space for intimate dining in boardroom style, a buffet alongside your event in the Studio, as a changing room for the bride's party or for storage of gifts, flowers etc.

The Studio Theatre, Rehearsal Room and Writers’ Room are situated on the third floor which has its own foyer and fully accessible toilets rising into the rafters of a 19th Century warehouse.

Writers' (Benfield) Room
An unusual space featuring the original Georgian hoist utilised when the building served as a bustling warehouse. Suitable for intimate dining or as a changing room for the bride's party or storage of presents, flowers etc

Situated at the top of the building and accessed via a set of private stairs.
