Chair and Trustee Recruitment

Live Theatre, Newcastle is one of only two dedicated new writing theatres of scale in the UK, outside of London. As well as being a producing theatre we have a thriving children and young people’s programme and an award winning talent development programme. As an independent charity, we are seeking a new Chair to lead our board to help govern and steer the future direction of the organisation.

We are looking for an experienced Chair who is an inspiring leader, has led a complex organisation, can set the ‘tone’, possesses strong commercial and financial acumen and who will champion Live Theatre as a significant organisation in the cultural landscape. You will also share our core values and have a collaborative approach.

Over the course of the next year, we also seek up to four Trustees with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and skill sets who are keen to be involved with an innovative, creative organisation. While some specific expertise is identified in our recruitment pack, it is more important we have a board that represents our communities, city and region.
