Casting call for upcoming Live Theatre production Blitzen On The Tyne

Project Description

Live Theatre is currently casting for our family winter show Blitzen On The Tyne. This production will rehearse in Newcastle from Mon 11 Nov to 6 Fri Dec as 2024 and run at Live Theatre  from Sat 7 - Sun 22 Dec 2024. Please do not apply if you are unavailable for the dates.

We are holding open auditions for two versatile actors (aged 18+), of any gender and ethnicity. The play will include multi-rolling, movement, singing and puppetry. Skills in these areas are desired but not essential.

We welcome disabled and neurodivergent actors to audition for any of the roles. Please let us know of any access requirements or other measures we can put in place to make the experience the best it can be.

In order for us to better support the theatre scene and artists in the region, these auditions are open to all actors currently based in the North East, and in keeping with our dedication to improving accessibility, we will be providing options to audition either in person at Live Theatre or online.

Key dates

Auditions will take place on: Wed 28 Aug 10am until 5pm.

Callbacks will take place on: Wed 4 Sep 10am until 3pm.

Rehearsals: Mon 11 Nov - Fri 6 Dec 2024.

Show: Sat 7 - Sun 22 Dec 2024.

There are 10.30am and 1.30pm performances on Tue 10, Wed 11, Thu 12, Fri 13, Tue 17 and Wed 18 and at 1pm on Thu 19 & Fri 20 December 2024.
