Open Audition for upcoming Live Theatre production 2024

Live Theatre is currently casting for the first production of its new season (title embargoed until March). This production will rehearse in Newcastle in April (April 15 - May 15)  and run at Live Theatre (May 16- June 8) and transfer to London (June 10 -Jul 8). Please do not apply if you are unavailable for the dates.

This is a stunning new play set in Northumberland in the 17th century about friendship, ancient sport and a changing society.  

We are holding open auditions for three roles in the play:

Percy    male/ male identifying

                age 20 -30

                any ethnicity

Character is North East, working class, full of life, quick energy, good comic timing.

Rowan     female/ female identifying or non-binary

                 age 20 -30

                 any ethnicity

Character is North East, working class, sharp minded, tough, a fighter.

Samuel    male/ male identifying

                  age 20-35

                  any ethnicity

Character is Southern, softly spoken, intense and thoughtful.

We welcome disabled and neurodivergent actors to audition for any of the roles. Please let us know of any access requirements or other measures we can put in place to make the experience the best it can be.

In order for us to better support the theatre scene and artists in the region, these auditions are open to all actors currently based in the North East, and in keeping with our dedication to improving accessibility, we will be providing options to audition either in person at Live Theatre or online.  

Auditions will take place on Wednesday 14 Feb 10am until 4pm.

Callbacks will take place on Thursday 15 Feb 10am until 2pm.
