Georgian Shore
Writers/performers – Chess Tomlinson, Lauren Hurwood, Sian Armstrong, Sam Bell, Olivia Hirst
Director – Emma Roxburgh
Who runs the world? Men! It’s Georgian England and Beyoncé would not be happy. But hello girls, why let the tiny things like thousands of years of ingrained misogyny, societal shackles, and the long arm of the law get in the way of living your best life? Five fleabags (with actual fleas) share real Geordie tales of Georgian triumph with contemporary comedy relevance…and absolute actual factual-ish accuracy. Well-behaved women seldom make history. Pah! It’s the 1770’s, no women made history! A dark comedy about resilience and overcoming a shitload of adversity. What happens when well-behaved women aren't?
What Adult Am I?
