Volunteers give generously of their time supporting projects such as Live Tales, our children and young people’s writing centre. In return we work hard to create a community spirit amongst them and a supportive, welcoming, friendly environment. We invest energetically in their training and are as keen to learn from their life experience as they are to learn of our practice.
Would you like to encourage and inspire young people to develop their imaginations and write stories? Why not become a volunteer at Live Tales and see children develop communication skills and grow in confidence? Volunteers provide encouragement, one-to-one and in small groups, and help the children to improve their writing and storytelling.
Maybe you’re better with pictures than words? Volunteer illustrators create drawings to accompany the children’s stories.
There are Volunteering opportunities at Live Theatre projects in Newcastle, and at The Fire Station, Sunderland.
