Come to this open day to find out more about Live Tales in Sunderland and how you can get involved, both at Sunderland and Newcastle.

Meet some current volunteers and learn more about Live Tales, an inspiring project which helps develop creativity in young people and encourages them to their explore imaginations and write stories.

Volunteers provide encouragement, one-to-one and in small groups, and help the children to improve their writing and storytelling. Volunteer illustrators create drawings to accompany the children’s stories. Volunteers become part of a supportive, welcoming, friendly environment.  We invest energetically in their training and are as keen to learn from their life experience as they are to learn of our practice.

Volunteers must be over 18 and full training and support is provided. The commitment is flexible, and you can do more or less as necessary to fit in with your life.

All prospective volunteers are subject to reference and DBS checks as part of Live Tales’ child protection policy.
