A fun, free and playful story writing workshop for families. Spaces are limited so book quickly.

'Oh no!  Our Editor has been locked out of their 'Imagination Box!' We need your help!'

Come and join us at Live Tales and enter a world of creating stories.  Help the Live Tales editor get back into their 'Imagination Box' by showing them the unlimited possibilities of worlds, characters and stories that you and your imaginative children can come up with.

We will use wordplay games and play as well as our children's library of books to inspire you and your children to come up with a completely original story.

As the wacky worlds and crazy characters are dreamt up by all the children, an illustrator will be on hand to bring these to life in pictures. The beginnings of a story book will be created for each child to take home to complete at home and continue the creativity!

See your children's ideas spark excitement and discover their voice as they are inspired to write their own stories.

Live Tales is Live Theatre's creative writing centre, located behind the theatre just off Newcastle's Quayside. The building is reached through Live Garden and the workshops will take place on both the ground and first floor (there is no lift access to the first floor). Toilets are available on both floors and the nearest toilet with baby changing facilities is in the atrium of Live Theatre.

Live Tales story writing workshops for school groups take place in the Live Tales building during term time, and sessions also take place in The Fire Station, Sunderland.

Due to it's popularity, these sessions of Family Fables are currently fully booked.
