Joe Douglas, Artistic Director, Live Theatre

Kicking off our new season we are thrilled to bring you Cora Bissett's hit show, What Girls Are Made Of, coming to Live Theatre from Wed 4 - Fri 6 Sep. This show was such a sell-out success last year, it moved to a venue four times the size this year, and is wowing audiences again at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Charting her true story of touring with Radiohead, partying with Blur and living the dream to epic lows, the show asks what wisdom we should pass to the next generation and which glorious mistakes we should let them make. Performed with a live backing band the show is studded with songs by 90s indie legends and inspirational female artists - from Nirvana to Dolly Parton to Patti Smith.

'Life-changing litany of pure joy… Believe the hype.'
