Meet the Ladies

A Live Theatre and National Theatre of Scotland co-production

Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour Based on The Sopranos written by Alan Warner

Adapted by Lee Hall Directed by Vicky Featherstone

Music Supervisor Martin Lowe

Catholic school girls go wild as the choir trip to Edinburgh goes badly wrong. Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour is a funny, sad and raucously rude play about singing, sex and sambuca. Adapted by Lee Hall (The Pitmen Painters) from Alan Warner’s brilliant novel The Sopranos with music by Handel, Bach and ELO, Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour is a musical play about losing your virginity and finding yourself. The play features six girls on the cusp of change when love, lust, pregnancy and death all spiral out of control in a single day.

Coming to Live Theatre after premiering at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Tuesday 18 to Saturday 30 August), Warner’s blisteringly funny dialogue ends in fireworks (literally) and is a tribute to being young, lost and out of control.

Our Ladies is at Live Theatre Thursday 1 to Saturday 24 October for more information see http://www.live.org.uk/whats-on-book/.... It opens at the Traverse on Wednesday 19 August and tours Scotland http://www.nationaltheatrescotland.co... before having its English premiere at Live Theatre.
