Drip Review by Live Theatre's Creative Associate Anna Ryder

I was lucky enough to catch Tom Wells’ and Matthew Robins’ latest collaboration Drip here at Live Theatre last night. (You have until Friday to get along!) It is a gem of a show, full of charm and quiet bravery. From the moment the unassuming Liam took to the stage, it was impossible not to be endeared to him. We were regaled with a story of everyday courage and painfully accurate teenage angst, all decorated with multiple pieces of swimming paraphernalia!

Drip gently and with great care takes its audience by the hand back to the awkward years of school. Tom’s dialogue captures a teenage voice with precision and Matthew’s songs are full of heart. Anyone who saw the pairs’ previous show Broken Biscuits (here at Live in 2016) will love this new offering. I’d really recommend it to young adult audiences and it will no doubt bring some knowing smiles from parents too!
