The Mini Mela returns to spice up Live Garden with a blend of South Asian flavours featuring arts, crafts, lively performances and fantastic food.

Workshops include:
* Sculpture painting
* Tamil/Sinhala writing
* Kites
* Postcard printing
* Face painting
* Rangoli art
* Lightcatchers, sun, moon and star mobiles
* Bollywood dance
* Dhol drumming
* Henna

Create a beautiful Rangoli pattern, dance to the Bollywood beat, try the Dhol drum, henna or face painting or try a feast from the East.  Just confirmed is the exceptional Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band who will perform throughout the day. This exciting band embody the rich culture, tradition and heritage of Rajesthan, their music and dance is a heady, exciting and hypnotic reflection of the enchanting region.  

You will also be able to find out about our creative story writing workshops at Live Tales.

Please note that this is an outdoor event. All efforts will be made to move activities indoors if the weather is unkind.

Mini Mela is the final event of GemArts Masala Festival, winner of the Arts Council Award at Journal Culture Awards 2017, which runs from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 July.
