Seating Plans

Live Theatre has two performance spaces; the Main Theatre, which has a capacity of 170, offers unique surroundings in which to enjoy a performance where no one is ever far from the action and the Studio Theatre, which holds 50, provides an intimate setting, ideal for rehearsed readings and small music gigs.

Main Theatre
When booking tickets online for the Main Theatre, you can choose to sit in one of the three designated areas. If a you have a preference about which seat(s) you would like, we recommend you book tickets via the box office, where a member of staff will be able to talk through the seating options.

The seating in the Main Theatre is broken down into 3 areas:

Cabaret
Accessed via the ground floor, the cabaret area is made up of a flexible mix of tables and free standing chairs situated directly in front of the stage. Although you can book a ticket(s) in the cabaret, tables are unreserved, unless and whenever the Management decides otherwise e.g. to accommadate access requirements and corporate guests. Tables are allocated on a first come first served basis prior to the performance. Ticket numbers do not refer to a particular seat. We recommend that you arrive at the theatre at least 20 minutes before the start of the show, to ensure you get your preferred table.

Ground Floor  Auditorium
Also accessed via the ground floor, this area has three rows (A, B & C) of comfortable tiered fixed seating, situated behind the cabaret area.

Balcony
Located on the first floor, which is accessible via the lift and stairs, this area offers two rows (E & F) of tiered fixed seating.

Studio Theatre
Located on the third floor, which is accessible via the lift and stairs, this space offers a flexible mix of tables and free standing chairs or simply rows of chairs according to event. Please note that seats are unreserved – audience members choose a seat(s) on the night, ticket numbers do not refer to a particular seat.

When booking tickets online, the current booking facility offers customers the best available seat(s) at the time of booking. Live Theatre is in the process of updating this system to enable a booker to choose their preferred seat(s).
