Live Theatre, in collaboration with The Empty Space, North East England’s theatre development agency, are looking to the future with the return of the bursary scheme. This year there will be a two stage process with three small bursaries of £500 offered to North East based artists to develop a work in progress performance for inclusion in our December Scratch Night. Based on feedback from the audience one of the three artists will be awarded a larger bursary to take their show to full production in 2014.

Your chance to help choose a new show for 2014. Three North East based artists present work in development in the Studio Theatre after which the audience are invited to join us for a glass of wine, lively discussion with the artists, and the opportunity to suggest which of the shows they’d like to see further developed with Live Theatre and The Empty Space’s 2014 Bursary.
